HIGHLIGHTS OF BOTANY DEPARTMENT

The Department offers Botany for the Intermediate and the Degree courses.

Undergraduate Course :

New papers introduced in Botany Theory Syllabi and corresponding practical include Nursery Management & Taxonomy in IV Semester and Microbiology & Biotechnology in VI Semester.
Fieldwork is introduced as part of Practical syllabus in Plant Physiology and Ecology.

Horticulture has been introduced as General Elective during the III/IV Semesters and offered to all the students of Degree classes in view of its self-employment orientation. The Horticulture students organize displays.

Students are trained to present scientific reports.
